Privacy Policy
Layer8 collects only what it needs to operate the community, protect members, and moderate abuse.
Information we receive
When you sign in, our authentication provider supplies an account identifier and email address. We store a generated public username, your posts and comments, votes, reports, account role and status, and limited activity timestamps used for abuse prevention.
What other members see
Other visitors see your generated username and the content you publish. They do not see your sign-in email address. Administrators can access account information when needed for moderation and support.
How information is used
We use information to operate accounts, display discussions, count votes, investigate reports, enforce community rules, prevent spam, maintain security, and improve Layer8. We do not sell personal information.
Service providers
Layer8 relies on hosting, authentication, database, security, and domain providers to operate. Those providers may process technical information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Retention and choices
Community content and moderation records may be retained while the service operates or as reasonably needed for safety and legal obligations. Contact the site owner to request access, correction, or deletion; some moderation and security records may need to be retained.
Children and changes
Layer8 is not intended for children under 13. We may update this policy as the service changes and will update the effective date when we do.
